Hard Work, Love, and Sacrifice

With always having a desirable passion to be an independent artist, Kevin Stewart Jr. has put a lot of hard work in serving other artists and ministries a like. While sacrificing his time to support others musically, he’s knew he was ready to venture out and stand on his own. With the release of his first single, “Yes” dropping July 23, 2013 and the Yes (ep) released August 5, 2014 the platform provided itself for him to be heard.

Kevin developed his unique style from a lifetime of musical influence. Growing up in a talented musical family, serving in his church’s music ministry, and attending a performing arts school, all kept him surrounded by different forms of music. This is where his musical tastes and interests became known which opened the door to various music opportunities shaping his craft as a creative vocalist.

He assisted with background vocals for a plethora of well renowned gospel artists such as LeAndria Johnson, Donald Lawrence, Ernest Pugh and Patti Austin. He has open up for Pastor Donnie McClurkin and Fred Hammond Festival of Praise tour in Columbia South Carolina (2014). With much exposure from these experiences, Kevin became compelled to start working on his first single that would be released to the public.

Having artist and producer, Brandon Avery Smith believing in his voice, gift, and anointing, Kevin knew that the time was right to start working. With much hard work and dedication, the highly anticipated single, Yes, from Kevin was released July 23, 2013. Yes ep was released August 5, 2014. In doing so Kevin won two Rhythm and Gospel Awards in 2015. “ New Artist of the Year, and Young Adult Artist of the Year.

With his latest two singles “I still believe”, and “Hands Up” leading out Kevin’s first album “The Waiting Room” ; he’s full steam ahead leading his generation to their next level in God.

Kevin’s motivation behind the music is to empower and to bring a sense of hope to a nation that is facing adversity daily. At a time like this, music is requiring more of God’s Spirit and anointing. With much prayer and dedication to his music and relationship with God, Kevin plans to stay consistent with each level of growth while captivating the heart of everyone who encounters his music.
